Interviewed by the official AC Milan channel, the English centre-back Fikayo Tomori discussed many things, one of which is the team's form currently in the league. Here are his words:
"As a team, we know that this season is important, because we are in a very good position. We have to raise the bar to do something great. We are calm but also energized."
On the racist chants received during the game against Cagliari:
"After the match, we were happy because we won. But, we heard some things. The whole team and staff gave us support. The club also supported us on social media: it's like a family. I talked to Maignan, when there is a family like this it's easier to raise your head."
On his arrival to Milan:
"When I arrived here I was excited to play for Milan, all my teammates, the staff, the coach, Maldini, Massara, Gazidis. Everything made me feel at home, like in England. I've been here for a year and two months, but it seems like a lot more. I'm happy here, I'm very happy."
On his partner in the defence currently, Pierre Kalulu:
"Pierre scored (against Empoli), so I have to do it too. But if we win all the games anyway and I don't score a goal, that's fine too. I want to score anyway, I hope I can. What a player Kalulu is! He's great. He always wants to learn from Kjaer, Romagnoli, the coach, from me, as well as from himself. We are playing confidently, calmly. We are in a good time together, we must continue. Pierre is a great great player."
On his first derby:
"It's a special game, because it was my first game here. I was a bit nervous, first match in Serie A with Milan… To think that we are talking about a year and two months ago is crazy."
Tomori on the next game, which is against Bologna:
"We hope to be able to win every match. We always try to do our best, and when San Siro is full with all our fans, then we are energised and concentrated. At this moment of the season in particular, we have the feeling inside us that we have to do our best in every game."
