The name that is on Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara's agendas these days seems to be Real Madrid's right-winger Marco Asensio.
As we have reported already, the Rossoneri have made exploratory polls with intermediaries and agents to set up negotiations with Asensio. There is nothing advanced yet and talks between AC Milan and the Spanish 26-year-old seem to have started off with some difficulties.
In fact, according to sources at Calciomercato.com, Marco Asensio has indeed opened up to the idea of making the move from Santiago Bernabeu to San Siro. However, it is the salary of the player that is now creating a problem.
As per the report, Marco Asensio's financial demands are far from what the Rossoneri could put on the table. The player wants to receive a net yearly wage of 7 million euros.
