AC Milan's left-winger Rafael Leao has a contract that expires in June 2024, but the Rossoneri do not want to repeat the situations of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Hakan Calhanoglu and Franck Kessié again. Technical area director Paolo Maldini and sport director Frederic Massara want to lock down the player on a new deal and negotiations have started for some time now.

However, the player and his agent are requesting more: a post-tax yearly salary between 5.5 and 6 million euros.
