Chelsea are going to close a deal with Napoli for Kalidou Koulibaly. The Blues are looking to reinforce themselves in defence but not only. In fact, as per the latest report, they are also keen on AC Milan's left-winger Rafael Leao.
As reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, the Blues are preparing an attempt for the former Lille star. In recent weeks, Milan have tried to approach the player and his agent for the renewal of a contract that expires in 2024, and will continue to do so over the course of the next few weeks too.
In the meantime, Chelsea have begun to test the ground trying to understand what the Rossoneri's request could be two years from the deadline and given the presence of a 150 million euro clause.
What is certain is that Milan will not listen to offers of less than 80-90 million because there is also a clause that says that 15% of any future resale of Leao is owed to French club Lille. Instead, they will try to work on the renewal and try to avoid the risk of losing him on a free.
