AC Milan continue to hope for Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder who can play as a centre-forward and right-winger is valued highly by the Belgian club.
The player was left out of the squad list which is set to take on Genk this Sunday in the first league game in this new season. Before that, he sat on the bench for 90 minutes in Belgian Super Cup match won against Gent.
According to Calciomercato.com, there is still a gap between the recent Serie A winners and the Belgian champions. The asking price is set firmly at 35 million euros plus bonuses (Leeds United are reportedly offering 37 million euros) and Milan have stopped at 30 million euros plus 2 million euros in bonuses.
AC Milan, for their part, have an agreement with Charles De Ketelaere on personal terms: a contract valid until June 2027 for a salary of 2.5 million euros net per season. At the same time, however, the Rossoneri managers are keeping some alternative tracks open, such as the one that leads to Moroccan star of Chelsea: Hakim Ziyech.
