In this remaining period of the transfer market, around two weeks, AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are focusing on affordable opportunities that can bring quality to the squad of head coach Stefano Pioli. The goal is to add depth and strength to the team in order to be able to defend the Scudetto and go to the next level in the Champions League competition.

The club management is looking for a midfielder with strong physical traits and it seems that the eyes are set on FC Midtjylland's talent: Raphael Onyedika who is a 21-year-old Nigerian. As per Calciomercato.com, he is preferred to Jean Onana of Bordeaux. Onyedika has characteristics that suit the style of play of Stefano Pioli.

The Nigerian defensive midfielder has a contract until June 2026 and is valued by his club at around 10 million euros. However, AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are trying to lower that asking price.

As per the source, the Rossoneri's first proposal was worth 4 million euros plus bonuses, and it was rejected by the Danish outfit Midtjylland. But, there is a will from Milan to work to find a suitable compromise. before considering any alternative routes.

The alternative profiles for AC Milan are Norwegian 24-year-old player of Sheffield United Sander Berge, Jean Onana, 22-year-old of Bordeaux, Hellas Verona's teammates Adrien Tameze and Ivan Ilic, French 28-year-old and Serbian 21-year-old, respectively.
