AC Milan's new era has started with Gerry Cardinale, through RedBird Capital Partners, as majority owner of the club since yesterday. The transfer of shares has finally been made with Elliott and everything was finalised.
As per Il Corriere della Sera in today's print edition, the future of Ivan Gazidis could be out of Casa Milan. The CEO's contract with the Rossoneri club expires in the month of November.
Unless any surprises and twists happen, the South African director, Gazidis, will not remain with the champions of Italy. Instead, he will return to the MLS. The CEO role, on the other hand, will be filled by Giorgio Furlani who is already a member of the board of directors and is Elliott's portfolio manager in Italy.
