According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the finance department at Casa Milan have indeed identified a new possibility to facilitate the possible renewal of Leao with Milan: the player can enjoy a new important salary with the Rossoneri by taking advantage of the growth decree which would lower the gross cost of the deal.
For a new contract worth 7 million euros net per season, Milan would pay around 10.5 million euros in total per year.
