Rafael Leao's contract renewal is yet to be done. The affair is very complicated for the club as there is the high request from the entourage without forgetting the issue of the compensation that must be paid to Sporting Lisbon.
According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's print edition, Paolo Maldini has reached 6.5 million euros in terms of net salary for the Portuguese star and Chelsea are following the situation and do not give up yet.
As per the newspaper, the negotiations, though, are experiencing a stalemate so far. Milan would be willing to offer up to 6.5 million, 5 million more than the current salary. But, Leao is also having issues regarding the compensation and is asking for help from Milan to pay the Portuguese club. Chelsea, for their part, could be ready to put 120 million euros on the table for the player.
