Rafael Leao's contract renewal is still an issue for the AC Milan club management who are yet to find an agreement with the player and his agent. The Portuguese left-winger has a deal running out in June 2024. The Rossoneri club directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, however, are hoping they can secure his stay.
As per Il Corriere dello Sport, Manchester City are now also pushing to sign Rafael Leao from AC Milan. The Premier League club which is coached by Pep Guardiola are keen on him and like his profile. They enter the race with Chelsea for the former Lille talent.
As per the newspaper, Paolo Maldini is confident that a renewal can be reached with the 23-year-old. However, the matter is not easy and it gets more complicated with more clubs showing interest.
Premier League clubs and Manchester City in particular have more financial resources and can satisfy Leao's requests.
