Theo Hernandez continues to suffer a strain in the adductor and is still working to reach a full recovery. He will certainly miss the Serie A fixture against Empoli this coming weekend and the one at London against Chelsea in the Champions League. But, there is a slight hope that he might be able to recover for the clash against Juventus in the league, scheduled for October 8.
Stefano Pioli has several possibilities to try to replace the absence of the former Real Madrid man. The coach can either try Sergino Dest on the left, play with a 3-man defence or even just deploy Fodé Ballo-Touré as left-back and put faith in the Senegalese.
Speaking of Ballo-Touré, Calciomercato.com point out that he was one step away from leaving to Turkish side Galatasaray in the summer. However, Stefano Pioli insisted to keep the former AS Monaco player. Pioli wants to try Ballo-Touré after seeing some encouraging signs in the summer tour from him. Therefore, with Theo's absence, he could find some opportunities to prove his worth.
