AC Milan's 28-year-old Bosnian midfielder, Rade Krunic, has spoken to DAZN in an interview. Here are his statements:
"Last year, nobody believed in us. But, we have always been aware of our quality and team. Until the last three matchdays, no one spoke of us as the team ready to win the Scudetto. In the last two years, we have done a very great job we have lost very few games and we always play at a very very high level. Last year, it bothered me that no one believed in us. Since we have been champions of Italy, things have changed but we still have more motivation. The less they talk about us, the more we feel strong and ready to win the Scudetto."
Krunic on his own personal growth:
"I have to get more shots on goal because maybe last year I had very few chances: you can't score if you don't shoot on goal. But I was important for other things, that's why the coach let me play the last few games: there were less chance of scoring but I could do the other things he asked me to do."
On his teammate Rafael Leao:
"He was definitely crucial last season and he will continue to be so this season. We showed that we can play without anyone and that our strength is the group: but with Rafa we are stronger."
On the Milan - Napoli game that ended in a loss for the Rossoneri, he said:
"We played a very intense, quality match. Unfortunately, the result was missing but the performance can only give us confidence. We missed a little something in the last 20-30 meters and we could have scored a goal especially in the first half but we are happy with the performance", declared Krunic.
Krunic on what coach Stefano Pioli tells them:
"The coach told us: 'We are the champions of Italy, everyone wants to beat us. But whether we lose 1-0 or 2-0, for us the game is never over and we play until the last moment."
On his idol as a child:
"Kakà is my idol. Who's the midfielder that put me in more difficulty? (Marcelo) Brozovic."
Strongest teammate in one on one situations?
"Leao"
Krunic on the revelation of Serie A so far?
"Obviously Udinese."
Best hobby and your favourite memory?
"Best hobby: Playstation. Favourite memory? Scudetto."
