La Gazzetta dello Sport published the analysis of Arrigo Sacchi about the AC Milan victory against Empoli. Here are his words:
"Milan must enter the field more gritty, more determined. Pioli's boys, from the beginning, have to attack. 'We are here to win' is the message that must be sent to the opponent. On the other hand, if you play lightly, the others take courage and can put you in crisis as Empoli did."
Sacchi on the difficulty in defence:
"The Tuscans, for how they conducted the game, would probably have deserved a draw."
