As pointed out by La Gazzetta dello Sport in today's print edition, AC Milan's contract with Stefano Pioli is valid until June 2025 with an important salary adjustment. In fact, as per the newspaper, the boss will now earn a net salary of 4.5 million euros per season (an increase of half a million euros from his previous deal).
As per the newspaper, there are different bonuses to be paid in case certai objectives are met such as reaching the round of 16 of the Champions League to winning the European competition itself. There are other bonuses linked to the team's performance also in the Serie A league.
There is however, no release clause or contract extension options. Everything was signed by a special pen, gifted to Stefano Pioli by the club. As per the newspaper, RedBird's chief, Gerry Cardinale, has reached out to the Italian tactician via a phone call and has congratulated him.
