Charles De Ketelaere is yet to leave an important impact with the AC Milan club this season. He has managed to make 18 appearances between Serie A and Champions League with only one assist registered to his name and no goals. He arrived in the previous summer for around 35 million euros with bonuses included. His contract runs until June 2027.
The left-footed playmaker who is 21 years old is currently with the Belgium national team, playing the World Cup competition with Qatar. But meanwhile, clubs are keeping an eye on him and his situation with the Serie A champions.
As per 90min.com, Leeds, who were very keen on signing him last summer, are considering a loan bid for him. Several European clubs are also interested. Milan, for their part, are "not yet believed to have ruled out loaning the Belgian, whose departure would help speed up Ziyech's arrival."
In an earlier interview, when asked about De Ketelaere's situation, however, Paolo Maldini said these words:
"He is suffering from this situation. It is a different environment. He has a lot of knowledge compared to what he did in Belgium. He has a 5-year contract and we look forward to the future. Just like Origi, who has a 4-year contract. They have everything to be decisive we are waiting for them. We have many examples of players who took a little while to understand what it means to play for Milan."
