Ismael Bennacer is too important for AC Milan in midfield. With Sandro Tonali, after the exit of Franck Kessié, they have formed their own system in front of the defence and gradually, their synchronisation together is improving step by step.
The Algerian has ambition and potential. He can even reach higher levels with continuity of hard work. AC Milan want to keep the former Empoli man at the San Siro and not let him go. His deal expires in June 2024 and they want to extend it by a few more years with an adjustment to the salary.
According to what is reported by Calciomercato.com, the former agent of Ismael Bennacer Moussa Sissoko was replaced by Enzo Raiola because the Algerian wanted to negotiate a higher salary with the Rossoneri. The decision to rely on Enzo Raiola came after a careful casting of the proposals received from the various agents and Milan were promptly informed of this news.
With his new agent, the priority is still to remain at Milan and extending the contract. The request of Ismael Bennacer's entourage now is around 4.5 to 5 million euros net per season. Figures which Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will have to satisfy soon. A first meeting is expected next week between the midfielder's agent and the Italians. But, we have to watch out for the clubs who are watching 'from the back' and they are namely Chelsea and Arsenal.
