Tiziano Crudeli, well-known commentator on AC Milan's games, spoke as usual about the performance of the team and revealed the following ratings for Pioli's team:
Tatarusanu, 6.5: After just 5 minutes, a great save on Lautaro Martinez. He can do little about the goal by the Argentine himself, for the rest he keeps a good watch on his goal. This time, he has no obvious faults.
Kalulu, 5: Another subdued performance for the Frenchman, who always appears quite bewildered. Distant relative of the one seen last year. But it's all the defense that suffers, we know it well by now.
Kjaer, 4.5: He should be the pivot and leader of Milan's defence. In reality, he does more damage than good. He loses the duels, aerial and non-aerial, with the Nerazzurri forwards and on Lautaro's first goal there is also his responsibility.
Gabbia, 5.5: Despite everything, he's probably the best in defence. Nothing transcendental, mind you. But even a worse performance than this could have been expected from the less experienced player at this moment.
Calabria, 5.5: In front he is completely null, in defense he struggles a lot but holds up on Dimarco and his companions. A gray performance overall, which cannot be worth the sufficiency.
Theo, 5.5: He does not attack the opposing area. He's not the Theo Hernandez we used to see in other times.
Messias, 4.5: We can safely say that the move to put him in midfield didn't work at all. He struggles tremendously in a role not his.
Brahim Diaz, 5.5: He tried a few tricks and attempts to help his teammates, but in vain.
Sandro Tonali, 5: Another unrecognisable player. Every once in a while he reminds himself that he has important qualities, then he immediately slips back into the shadows. His contribution is sorely lacking in the Milan midfield.
Krunic, 5: Neither quality nor quantity. A mysterious object that wanders in midfield without a precise reason. The player gives nothing to the cause. Strong disappointment.
Origi, 4: Difficult to evaluate a null performance. Here, this was Origi as long as he remained on the pitch: nothing. No cues, no plays, nothing at all.
Leao, 5: He enters the field limp, without grit.
Giroud, 5: Left alone up front, he sacrifices himself a lot, goes back to defense, fights. Then, very little else. He squandered a potentially great chance in the final by controlling a ball very badly in the opposing area.
Pioli, 3: Embarrassing. If this is the result of a week of hard work armored at Milanello, then we're doomed. He overturns the starting lineup, changes formation module but the choices don't reward him at all... The question arises whether the players are still with Pioli or not, concludes Tiziano Curedli.
