Stefano Pioli's AC Milan team must be reninforced in the coming summer transfer window to avoid any problems relating to squad depth like the one that the club experiences this season. One of the departments that may see an addition is the defence.
One of the names that has recently been circulating is Samuel Umtiti, centre-back of Lecce, on loan from FC Barcelona.
According to the latest reports from 'Sport', Milan are keeping tabs on Samuel Umtiti with a view to a potential move in the upcoming summer transfer window. However, any potential move would hinge on the former Olympique Lyon player terminating his contract with Barcelona, with Inter also believed to be in the running for the experienced defender.
Despite enjoying his time at Lecce, it appears unlikely that 29-year-old Frenchman, Umtiti, will extend his stay with the Italian side beyond the current campaign. The Barcelona outcast is not a part of the Catalan giants' technical plans and the club are keen to offload him to free up valuable salary cap space.
