AC Milan's head coach, Stefano Pioli, focused on the defensive department lately with the change of formation. However, it is now noted that the offensive area has entered a crisis and it requires some sort of a shock to revive it.
In the first three months of 2023, AC Milan has only scored 15 goals in 12 league games with Portuguese left-winger Rafael Leao not contributing as much as expected.
In fact, only Olivier Giroud has been able to consistently score goals, making him the team's leading striker in 2023. With all the other strikers involved in national team duty, Pioli only has Origi available at Milanello, as pointed out by the Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport.
If the Belgian centre-forward works harder and improves, however, AC Milan could finally discover a different striker who can guarantee some goals until the end of the season. To date, the former Liverpool star only has two goals registered to his name in Rossoneri colours.
