Napoli's boss, Luciano Spalletti, who suffered a 0-4 loss against AC Milan, had a confrontation with Rafael Leao and Paolo Maldini in the tunnel before the start of the second half (watch video here). The head coach, spoke about the incident to DAZN and said these words:
"What changes is that now there will be someone else that is not favored by the draw, for some people, it seemed that we had been given an easy team to beat. But they went through a bit of a difficult time, but we know that the beacon of the Champions League always puts everything back in its place. In those games, it's hard to find someone who can't give all the qualities they have. After this performance, I hope there's someone else who thinks like me. As for Paolo, nothing happened from my side, I was going back to the locker room and was asking about Lobotka's booking and the referee was explaining it to me. He passed by waving his arms as if to say 'you always complain.' At the beginning of the game, everyone was composed... But if anyone was protesting, it was them, Pioli was even called back by the referee. The referee never called me back. I didn't like the fact that he (Maldini) spoke over me when I was having discussions with the referee. I told him, and of course, he reacted a bit. From my side, everything is fine, I'm even sorry about it. Then he's Paolo Maldini, but I've been there too (in Serie A as a player), not at their level but I've been there. These are slightly unpleasant things."
