Maurizio Sarri spoke to the microphones of DAZN in the post-match of Milan-Lazio, which was won by the Rossoneri 2-0 thanks to goals of Ismael Bennacer and Theo Hernandez in the first half. These are the words of the Lazio coach:
On the match:
"The only big regret was being down 2-0 after 29 minutes without the game practically even starting, it conditioned us a lot, then we had to react much more, but the team seemed not to believe in it except in the last 7-8 minutes, we only had a nervous reaction in the end where we shot a few times."
On the physical aspect:
"From a physical point of view, we are practically first in all rankings. We don't have the speed peaks of other teams, but we can do little about it. At halftime, I saw a demoralised team, this is the aspect that worried me the most."
On technical errors:
"In build-up phase, we had more difficulty than usual, we made too many mistakes, and one of our most important players is not yet well."
On how long it will take for Ciro Immobile to fully recover, Sarri said:
"I don't know, Ciro is one who, if he doesn't score, mentally and enthusiasm-wise he gets down, physically something is missing, but for me, first of all, he needs to score."
On the upcoming weeks:
"If you look at the schedule, we're dead, I expect to play 4 tough games with the goal of doing well. If we think there are easy games, does Lotito not like it? He wasn't in our locker room, I didn't see him."
