These are decisive days for AC Milan in their quest to sign American forward Christian Pulisic from Chelsea. The club continues to seek the the player's signature and negotiations are well underway now with Chelsea, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The key to stepping up talks is the definitive exit of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle, which will allow the club to fill its coffers with much needed funds that will help make a decisive move for Pulisic. The former Borussia Dortmund, in fact, could be the third signing of AC Milan during this transfer market window.
Another player that remains always on the club's agenda is Yunus Musah. He is the compatriot of Pulisic and he is also appreciated by the management and also Stefano Pioli. But, Valencia are not letting him leave easily. They are asking to receive a fee around 25 million euros to let him leave and they do not want to accept a lower amount. AC Milan, however, are still working hard to try to reduce that number. There is a good chance, as per the newspaper, that Yunus Musah will be the next signing right after Pulisic.
As for Tijjani Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar, there is still distance between the clubs in the negotiations. As per the source, the Dutch club have set a pricetag around 25 to 30 million euros. The Eredivisie clubs usually value their players highly. But, Milan's managers, at the moment, are not willing to exceed the 18 - 20 million euros mark.
The most exhausting and complicated negotiation among those initiated for Milan's transfer market targets is the one for Samuel Chukwueze, however. In fact, Villarreal is not budging from their high financial demand for a player who is in the final year of his contract. The requested amount is 25 million euros + bonuses, which could bring the total expenditure to 30 million.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan does not intend to meet the demands of the Spaniards. The strengths in favour of the Rossoneri are the clear willingness of the player to come to Milan and the factor of time, as the Spanish club would lose their player for free on June 30, 2024.
