AC Milan club managers are looking to reinforce the team of head coach Stefano Pioli. Olivier Giroud needs a partner who can alternate with him. The Frenchman cannot work overtime again like in the last season. With Origi and Ante Rebic not convincing, an addition in that position is needed.
According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there are a few names being linked with a move to the Rossoneri such as Alvaro Morata, Gianluca Scamacca and also Boulaye Dia of Salernitana.
Dia, who scored 16 goals after 33 games in the season which just ended, is an important player for his club. They signd him last summer on loan with a purchase option set at 12 million euros. He has a release clause reportedly set at 25 million euros. The 26-year-old centre-forward is a new name in the shortlist this summer. However, he was linked to the Rossoneri club in the past when he was playing in Ligue 1 with Stade de Reims in 2021 (read here).
As per the source, the Rossoneri are considering the deal. The Senegalese player would gladly make the move to the San Siro. The Rossoneri, however, could try to include some players like Daniel Maldini and Lorenzo Colombo to reduce the operation cost regarding the possible arrival of the former Villareal forward.
