AC Milan's CEO, Giorgio Furlani, was interviewed by the media today at Milanello. Here are his words about the pre-season and the summer's transfer market window:
"The season begins. The objectives of this season are the same as always, for the past five years, or since I've been here: to be competitive in Italy and in Europe. We are all focused on the market, but the work also extends to the organisational level, infrastructure, and growing Milan in various ways and in a solid manner."
Is it "year zero" for AC Milan? Furlani replied:
"Some have talked about a year zero, but this is the 124th year of Milan, so it's not fair to call it a year zero. It's an evolution that we started five years ago and will continue to improve the club and strive for even better results."
