AC Milan has started the transfer market with their foot on the accelerator: after selling Sandro Tonali, the Rossoneri have closed deals for two potential starters, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic, securing important players for their rotations such as Marco Sportiello and Luka Romero at zero cost. Now, they need to finalise the deal for Reijnders and then focus on the center forward, with Mehdi Taremi being the most likely option at the moment. However, there might also be some significant departures from an economic standpoint, of course.

As reported this morning by Il Corriere dello Sport, the news circulating about foreign interest in Charles De Ketelaere is playing into Milan's hands. The season of the Belgian player, born in 2001, who arrived at Milan less than a year ago, has been far from memorable. If the club manages to sell him, possibly for a significant amount, it could be an almost unique opportunity. Aston Villa has a strong interest in the player, as does PSV, which has reportedly offered 15 million euros. However, Casa Milan is asking for at least double that amount. The objective is to avoid making a loss and obtain as much as possible from a potential transfer, which can still be worked on over time.

Meanwhile, in terms of the attack, the name that has gained traction in recent hours is Mehdi Taremi, as mentioned earlier. The Iranian player from Porto is coming off his best season at the age of 31, and who knows if he will be another case of an aging striker who performs better with age. Only time will tell, and Milan might be willing to find out. In the last season, Taremi scored an impressive total of 31 goals, and his contract will expire in 2024. Porto has set a price around €20 million, but as time goes by (and a contract renewal doesn't happen), the price is expected to drop. Therefore, the Rossoneri could potentially secure Taremi at a discounted price. Again, as with De Ketelaere, the summer will provide more information on these potential deals, as relayed by Milannews.it.
