AC Milan started in the right way. Three victories in the three first games of the league. They go into the international break with the full points in the pocket.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders have formed a true partnership in midfield and they have also become friends even off-the pitch. The Englishman himself said so yesterday in an interview:

"It feels like we’ve been playing together for a while now. We’ve developed a close friendship, and since his arrival, we’ve had numerous conversations. We believe we can improve even further.."

The former Chelsea player has taken the spotlight against the Giallorossi, dominating the midfield from end to end. He is more than just a simple central midfielder because Ruben is the typical box-to-box player that Pioli is also using in the opponent's final third to create space for Pulisic's creativity.

Loftus-Cheek took just over two months to change Milan. Now the Rossoneri are a more intense team in a full English style. That was exactly the idea, a shared one by Pioli and the management when they decided to pull out of the deal for Kamada and sign Rubén from Chelsea for 15 million euros plus bonuses, writes Calciomercato.com.

The former Chelsea midfielder is a bargain considering the figures for players in the Premier League. But perhaps not even Moncada and Pioli themselves imagined seeing such a decisive player right from the start. At the age of 27, he felt the need to leave his comfort zone and challenge himself.

What is missing for Loftus-Cheek and AC Milan now?

Loftus-Cheek is not just a physically dominant player but also very technical. These characteristics have led him to play in various roles in his career. Under Sarri at Chelsea, he even played as a trequartista, with Tuchel as an outside midfielder and central defender. Now, at Milan, in his ideal position, he wants to define himself in his natural role consistently. With his ability to make runs into the opponent's penalty area, he needs to improve his goal-scoring efficiency. Both Pioli and the player himself know that this is the aspect to work on to become a top international player. For now, he can be content with having already become a fundamental player for the Rossoneri, concludes the report.
