Rafael Leao, AC Milan's left-winger, has granted an interview to GQ Portugal. Here are his words:

On music:

"It was two members of the group, Juzicy and KidRobin, who were already singing, that encouraged me to start singing. Since we're a group of friends who grew up together in the same neighborhood, it was natural for me to join the group. What I try to do in music is to make people not be afraid to express what they have inside. My goal is to encourage people from my neighborhood, the people I share my everyday life with, to not be afraid to express what they want to express, to always be themselves."

On his double job:

"I manage it well, of course people will combine the two things and my stage name will never speak as loudly as my footballer name. They will always be connected."

Still on music, Leao said:

"My goal is to push the artists of my label to reach certain stages that I believe are achievable. As an artist, I don't just think about myself. It's about giving visibility, precisely. I started making music as a hobby. Now I can say it's also a job, because I take things seriously."

On the derby games in the Champions League last season:

"We had some absences, and due to the lack of solutions on the bench, Inter was clearly superior. They have a very complete team, both in the starting eleven and on the bench, and I believe this made the difference in the two matches."

On the dream with AC Milan, Leao said:

"I believe the club is on the right path, we managed to reach the Champions League semi-finals. Now the club's goal must be to keep climbing, to keep adding, to keep being strong. And I'm sure Milan will soon return to winning a Champions League, which is our goal. I speak for myself, I'm young, I'm a player who wants to win big things, the Champions League I think is every player's dream and we're working towards that."

On the team's young age:

"Even though we're young, we've already played more than 50 matches in Serie A, more than 20 in the Champions League, we already have a certain experience. We can take this experience and the freshness of being young and apply it on the field to achieve our goals."

On the future, Leao said:

"You can never say never, but I'm in a club that has welcomed me very well, I've just renewed, if I had in mind to leave I wouldn't renew (...), I'm focused on doing great things in two or three years at Milan."

On a potential offer from an Arab club, Leao declared:

"I haven't achieved great results yet to go to a league like that. These days money talks louder, but for me, a Champions League is worth more than a salary of 10 million, for example."
