AC Milan will leave to Dortmund today, but they will do so with three significant absences all in the same area of the field.
As pointed out by those at Il Corriere dello Sport in this morning's print edition, Rade Krunic, Ismael Bennacer and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are all midfielders with physical issues and therefore unavailable to play against the German outfit.
Tough luck for Ruben Loftus-Cheek especially who had to leave in the recent Serie A game against Lazio. The Englishman, in fact, was among the best players this season for Stefano Pioli and his physicality in particular would have been really useful against the Bundesliga side tomorrow in the Champions League. The former Chelsea player will reportedly be available for team selection after the international break.
Pioli will also have to do without his trusted player Rade Krunic as well who now boasts important experience and dynamism that boost Pioli's tactical plans. Therefore, it is safe to say that AC Milan will have a delicate and difficult game against Borussia Dortmund.
