If the opportunity becomes a chance, Milan will be ready. The opportunity is the contract of Juan Miranda, a 2000-born left-back for Real Betis who is considered the ideal backup for Theo Hernandez in the future.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juan Miranda's contract with the Andalusians expires in June and, if the current stalemate over a renewal continues, the Spaniard will be free to agree terms with another club in a few months. Milan is ahead of the pack, as it has been tracking the player for some time and has been in contact with his entourage for some time: Milan would be a welcome destination for Miranda, and this is an excellent starting point to close a deal on a free transfer next June.

Of course, this is subject to competition. The opportunity, on the other hand, is linked to what Betis intends to do: the Verdiblancos will soon be faced with a crossroads, either resigning themselves to the idea of losing their gem for free or considering the opportunity to sell him in January, monetising the departure. And in this case, the demands of last summer should be lowered to possibly halve: Betis could go from the 12 million euros asked for in the last transfer market to a much more modest figure, let's say between 5 and 6 million euros. Milan is watching and waiting: the deputy Theo could be just around the corner.
