AC Milan's second defeat of the season came in the match against Juventus. But, Stefano Pioli's team are now focused on facing Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Group F.

The Rossoneri drew both their games in the competition 0-0. But, now goals are expected from the Italians and Rafael Leao is a great factor who can help his team gain a very impressive victory in France.

According to what is reported by those at La Gazzetta dello Sport's newspaper in this morning's edition, Leao's qualities should secure more for Milan: not just crosses and assists, but also goals. Pioli is asking his Portuguese star to take the initiative more in the penalty box and try to aim for the goal when there is a good chance. The crosses and passes inside the box have been lately inaccurate and he must simply shoot more on target.

Leao in the Champions League... The leap must come now

A definitive leap in quality is needed by the Rossonero number 10. He must be more concrete, as written by La Gazzetta dello Sport. Obviously, providing assists is a crucial aspect of Leao's goal, but as the star forward of the Rossoneri, he must step up and score goals too, especially in the top games of the Champions League.

To compare, for example, Kylian Mbappé average shots per game is 4.9. But, Rafael Leao's average is only 1.9. There is an obvious significant gap that also determines the difference between the two in terms of effective attacking contribution. So far, Mbappé has scored 9 goals this season while Leao is stuck at 3 goals only.
