Italian journalist and pundit, Stefano De Grandis, speaking to Sky Sport Italia, discussed Stefano Pioli's decision to substitute Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud in the last ten minutes of the match against Napoli.
Here are his words:
"Giroud gets angry about the substitution: a professional shouldn't get angry, but he knows that these matches can also be decided in the ninetieth minute. If he's in good shape, you shouldn't take him off in the last ten minutes."
Wrong substitutions by Stefano Pioli?
"Both he and Leao make a difference, and in my opinion, you shouldn't take them off in the last ten minutes. Ending a match between title contenders with an attack composed of Luka Romero-Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor isn't ideal for a top team."
