AC Milan's big problem right now is the injuries. They are heavily affecting the performance of the team.

The list of healthy starters from July to now is quite short, we mention the likes of Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori, and Tijjani Reijnders.

All the others have been injured at least once. The latest, in chronological order, is Rafael Leao, who in the Lecce match sustained a first-degree injury to the right hamstring.

What is the cause behind the long list of injuries at AC Milan?

La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition asked a very good question: "Whose fault is this?" Well, there are three possible causes.

The error could have been in the workload, or in the team's style of play, which is very demanding, or finally, the summer tour in the USA just 10 days after the retreat at Milanello may have compromised the preparation.

It's hard to give an accurate answer, but the club knows well that the issue of injuries needs to be resolved as soon as possible, even though finding a solution will not be an easy task.
