From Milanello, Manuele Baiocchini, an Italian journalist of Sky Sport Italia, spoke about Olivier Giroud's situation after the red card he was shown in the match against Lecce last time out.

"The sports judge will make a decision, not only regarding Giroud but in everything that happened during the Serie A weekend. From what we know, and it's important to note, Olivier Giroud has apologised to referee Rosario Abisso for showing disrespect and getting himself expelled on Saturday afternoon in Lecce."
The Sky journalist continued to discuss Giroud's situation...
"The current rule stipulates a 4-match suspension for disrespectful behaviour or words towards the match official, but there is also a precedent: Maxime Lopez received a two-match suspension ('for having, in the 6th minute of the second half, directed a severely offensive expression at the match official' during Napoli-Sassuolo on August 29). Milan and Olivier Giroud, therefore, expect and hope that the two matches will be sufficient. They hope that it won't go beyond that."
