AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli commented on the victory against Fiorentina at San Siro to DAZN:
On Francesco Camarda, he said:
"Camarda has talent and freshness, perhaps what we didn't have from a mental point of view. It will be a formative experience for his growth; he'll have to take small steps but he's a humble boy, eager and loved by everyone. Today's match won't make him feel like he's made it; he knows it's just the beginning and he must face the future with determination and sacrifice."
Pioli added:
"I know what it means to be the coach of Milan and not win for a month. The right mentality is to prepare for the next game as if it were the most important, not the last."
Pioli continues:
"The mindset tonight couldn't be the same as at the beginning of the season or when we were on top, but we played the right game for the moment we're going through. The team has the qualities to do better and be competitive, but this is the time to fight and win by suffering. We had to play this type of game, and we did it."
On the group:
"The group is united and eager; we haven't overcome the difficult moment because we need to maintain consistency in the league, but now our focus is on Tuesday's match."
On Samuel Chukwueze:
"Chukwueze arrived in the summer almost at the end and hadn't worked much. I liked him tonight, but he's a quality player, and it's fair to expect some goals and assists from him. I'm sure he will grow and can give us a lot."
Pioli on Luka Jovic's performance:
"Jovic had a good game, with a pass on Theo's penalty. I want something more from him; it's a shame he didn't score. He needs to be more intense, angry, and determined."
