AC Milan won 1-0 against Fiorentina at the San Siro stadium. It wasn't a beautiful win, but it was the result that Pioli's team needed. A result which hopefully they can build on for the next challenge in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.
La Gazzetta dello Sport, in this morning's print edition, spoke about the game as usual and shared the following ratings:
The man of the match for the red and black faithful was Mike Maignan with a rating set at 8.
Next, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori, and Theo Hernandez who scored the only goal have earned themselves 6.5 ratings.
Davide Calabria, the AC Milan captain, earned a 6, and same is said regarding Tijjani Reijnders, Tommaso Pobega, Yunus Musah, Christian Pulisic, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
AC Milan's two forwards with disappointing ratings...
Luka Jovic, on the other hand, was only granted a rating set at 5, despite a key pass leading to the penalty earned and scored by Theo Hernandez. The worst player on the pitch for Milan, however, was Samuel Chukwueze, also with a rating of 5.
