AC Milan's left-winger, Rafael Leao, has spoken to the media after the victory against Newcastle.
Here are his statements:
"We wanted to continue in the Champions League. However, the result happened because those were three important points for the standings, waiting for the others. Now we continue in the Europa League. It's a trophy I've never won, and we'll play to win it."
He added:
"My return to the field was difficult, especially in a Champions League match. However, these matches help me grow. I didn't perform well in the first half, but in the second half, the team also helped me to improve, and we believed until the end. I am very disappointed with hitting the post because it was important for me. It would have helped my confidence to score again."
Leao concluded:
"The most important thing is the victory because we wanted to keep playing in the Champions League, but unfortunately, we couldn't achieve that target."
