The AC Milan club management are observing the current situation very closely and should be ready to intervene in the January transfer market window in order to reinforce Stefano Pioli's squad, especially in the defence.
The defensive department of Milan is in a constant state of emergency. After Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw, Marco Pellegrino, and Mattia Caldara fell during the season, along with Simon Kjaer, who is doing well currently, the only thing Milan fans wouldn't have wanted to see has actually happened in Salerno which is Fikayo Tomori suffering an injury.
Until then, the English center-back not only had the most playing time but was also the best performer in the entire squad.
The Italian newspaper Tuttosport, in this morning's print edition, wrote that Geoffrey Moncada, Antonio D'Ottavio and their team of collaborators are keeping an eye on Nordi Mukiele.
The player in question is French. He is 26 years old, a former player of RB Leipzig who is currently plying his trade for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1. He can play as a right-back and centre-back.
The trail leading to Mukiele is "gaining traction", writes the daily Turin-based newspaper.
He is much appreciated by Geoffrey Moncada and they could perhaps attempt making a move for him on loan.
Mukiele's contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June 2027. So far this season, he managed to play 9 matches, with a total of 396 minutes.
