AC Milan reacted well after the painful Coppa Italia exit. Head coach Stefano Pioli's team won against AS Roma 3-1 at the San Siro and therefore managed to bounce back.
This morning, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan dominated tactically, in the air, and with their legs. The standout player of the match was Olivier Giroud, who scored a goal and provided a wonderful back-heeled assist for Theo Hernandez's third goal. However, the former Chelsea player was not the only Rossonero who did shine.
In fact, Yacine Adli had an excellent performance in the midfield (scoring his first goal in a Milan shirt), Theo was tireless on the left flank (playing as a full-back again), and Christian Pulisic was among the most active, causing trouble for the defences of AS Roma.
Unfortunately, as often happens, Milan momentarily switched off in the second half, allowing the Giallorossi to get back into the game (a foolish penalty conceded by Calabria and converted by Paredes). This time, however, unlike what happened in Napoli and Lecce, the Rossoneri did not let themselves be caught up, and Theo's goal sealed the victory for Milan.
