Milan is waiting for its key defenders. Within about a month and a half (or a little more), Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori, and Pierre Kalulu should be back at Pioli's disposal.
Today, Corriere della Sera confirmed that Malick Thiaw will be the first to return.
The German defender, who got injured in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund, is expected to resume training in approximately 15-20 days.
Shortly after, the return of Fikayo Tomori is also expected. He had been one of the absolute best players for AC Milan until the injury in Salerno, although there are no precise timelines yet.
Then, Kalulu will return, but it will take a bit longer. Currently, Pioli is relying on the Kjaer-Gabbia partnership, with Simic ready to contribute, at least in the league.
