The AC Milan dream can become a reality in 2028: the inauguration of the new stadium.

The club has purchased the land where it intends to build the house of the future. These are funds that RedBird has specifically allocated for the project. It's a decisive step towards an idea that involves the construction of a seventy-thousand-seat stadium equipped with every comfort: two levels of parking for over three thousand cars, a hotel, restaurant areas, offices, a Milan store, a museum, a square, and even an auditorium.

Paolo Scaroni has speculated the inauguration for the 2028-29 season, to be ready to celebrate the club's 130th anniversary in the new stadium. The first stone, at least according to predictions, will be laid at the end of 2024.

"We want to build the most beautiful stadium in the world" declared the Rossoneri president a few months ago. "It will have seventy thousand seats and will be eco-friendly. We want to bring value to an isolated area."

The key to understanding the project is mobility, which focuses on three areas: infrastructure, transportation, and environmental compensation.

Francesco Squeri, the mayor of San Donato, spoke about it in detail at the end of January during the project's presentation press conference. The points under observation will be diverse, discussed by SportLifeCity. The project will be carried out by the Manica studio, which has already worked on several projects in the United States, including the Inter Miami FC Stadium and the NRG Stadium in Houston.

To build in San Donato, the existing transportation system must be strengthened, a new train station developed, car usage reduced, and some areas designated for parking reclaimed. The real challenge, as stated by Squeri, will be "the new San Donato train station."

At the moment, it has one stop and can support a traffic of eight thousand people per hour. The goal is to reach thirty thousand, also increasing the number of trains on game days.

"We need new tracks, platform expansion. It will have to become a real station. The goal is to promote rail transport to decrease road transport. The metro stop is 1.2 kilometers away, so there will be the possibility of creating shuttles." These are the words of the mayor.

The choice of the area is strategic, nestled between the beginning of the Eastern ring road and the junction of the A1 motorway. The stadium would be the first major structure to appear in front of those arriving in Milan from the south.

In front of the grounds, moreover, there is the railway station, while the subway is a mile and a half away. It will be an area that "will live all year round", as specified by Scaroni: "In addition to matches, there will also be other events, such as concerts."

Gerry Cardinale, finally, entered the world of Milan by slamming the door and flaunting his ideas to everyone. Building a new facility was his goal from day one. "I want to give fans the next theater of European football," he recently declared. "It is important especially for the fans. If we succeed, it will have a great impact on Italy." Especially for those arriving by car, as relayed via La Gazzetta dello Sport in their website.
