Stefano Pioli has decided to make some rotations in the starting lineup for the match against Monza. Tonight, compared to Thursday's Europa League match against Rennes, the Milan coach is expected to make five changes: one in defense, two in midfield, and two in attack.
In fact, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport's report, there will be a change in defence with Simon Kjaer taking a rest: Malick Thiaw will replace him, returning to play from the first minute 82 days after the last time (Milan-Borussia Dortmund on November 28). There are also changes in midfield: Yunus Musah and Tijjani Reijnders played against Rennes on Thursday, while tonight in Monza Ismael Bennacer and Yacine Adli will be there.
Upfront, Pioli will also rest Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud, both heavily used in recent weeks.
In their place, Noah Okafor will be on the right and Luka Jovic will be at the center of the Milan attack. All the others are confirmed: Maignan in goal, Florenzi and Theo Hernandez as full-backs, Gabbia in the center of defense, Ruben Loftus-Cheek as the attacking midfielder, and of course Leao on the left.
