The well-known journalist Carlo Pellegatti interviewed the three AC Milan legends Marco van Basten, Ruud Gullit and Frank Rijkaard in Amsterdam.
Here are Rijkaard's words:
"I've always said that I would never have wanted to play against Milan. Here in Holland all the fans thought it was a positive thing, but I would have preferred to play against any other Italian team but Milan. I was part of a great group of players, a great club, a great team."
Rijkaard continued:
"I was lucky in that sense, I was able to play in the best team in the world at that time. I can only thank all the people who supported me."
