Several Spanish outlets are reporting that Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez will not renew his contract with Los Blancos and will leave the club on a free transfer, as his agreement expires on June 30th.
According to MilanNews.it, Milan is interested in bringing Vazquez to San Siro, having for some time set their sights on the player. The good relations that Paolo Maldini has with the capital club could favor the transfer of the 29-year-old to the Rossoneri.
Lucas Vazquez has given Madrid a contract renewal ultimatum until the end of March which would see him earn a pay-rise; a salary more on par with players like Militao and Jovic who he feels he has outperformed.
Milan is currently looking for an attacking right-winger who can do better than Samu Castillejo and Saleamakers who have so far underperformed for the Italian giants.
The winger turned back-up fullback, has been one of the most important players for Zinedine Zidane this season. With injuries ravaging the Madrid squad, Lucas managed 20 consecutive starts and has already amassed over 2,000 minutes this season.
Lucas was part of the Real Madrid team that won three straight champions league trophies alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
