After the goal and assist in last night's friendly against Scotland, The Netherlands national team midfielder and AC Milan's player, Tijjani Reijnders, made these statements to NOS:
"At the moment I kicked the ball, I immediately had the feeling that it could go into the goal. It was very nice to score my first goal for the Dutch national team. Was it my best goal ever? Perhaps yes, in any case, it's very high on the list."
Reijnders then explained that he feels very comfortable in the Dutch team and also spoke about playing together in midfield with Frenkie de Jong, who is currently injured:
"I immediately felt very comfortable with the Dutch team. Here I have the same role as I do at Milan, so I was able to integrate my game well into the national team's. Frenkie de Jong? We are both players who like to have the ball at our feet and want to play it. I think together we can do well."
