The headline of today's edition of Il Corriere dello Sport reads:
"Renewal Option: Jovic Accelerates to Get the Yes."
The Serbian striker wants to convince Milan to extend his current contract for the upcoming season. The Rossoneri club directors who acquired his card on the last day of the 2023 summer transfer window from Fiorentina on a free transfer, do have an option to extend the contract by one year with the former Real Madrid player.
There is, however, another scenario that could unfold, namely the possibility of renegotiating a new contract with a new salary. Jovic's entourage would like to focus on this hypothesis, and in the coming days, they will meet with Milan's executives to discuss the future of the Serbian striker.
