AC Milan want to sign Alex Jimenez from Real Madrid on a permanent transfer. But, they have to find a definitive agreement on new terms compared to what was agreed last summer.
Speaking about the matter is Sky Sport Italia's journalist Manuele Baiocchini who said these words:
"There is a negotiation on which Milan had been working for some time, for several months, and it is the one for Alejandro Jimenez. The left back, an alternative to Theo Hernandez, played well in the Italian Cup and against Empoli. Milan is trying to buy him from Real Madrid; there was a buy-option set at 5 million euros. Milan has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to buy him out at slightly lower prices but which, with the bonuses, could exceed the 5 million previously agreed, with Madrid having the possibility of maintaining a buy-back right at much higher figures than to those agreed last summer."
The journalist continued to talk about Milan's plan to sign Jimenez permanently:
"Jimenez remains at Milan, only the player's contract needs to be settled but it will be little more than a formality. Milan's desire is to close this negotiation in advance of those which were the summer times precisely because the player, 18 years old, particularly convinced Milan and Pioli. Therefore Milan wants to keep him and want to focus on his growth: they will redeem him from Real Madrid and everything will most likely happen after Easter with a meeting with his agent who will be definitive to put everything in black and white."
