AC Milan aims to reach the summer with 130 million euros in hand, to be spent immediately in the transfer market campaign.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition, with the new format of the Champions League, entering the competition already guarantees 50 million euros, and for the management, the season will only be considered successful with a final placement within the top four positions.
Then there's the Europa League, the second major goal of this ongoing season. A potential victory would bring, between UEFA prizes, ticket sales, and market pool, another 40 million euros.
Moreover, it's the only trophy missing in AC Milan's history. In addition to this, there would be the almost certain buy-option fees for some loaned Rossoneri players: Atalanta should pay 26 million euros to keep Charles De Ketelaere, Bologna should pay 10 million euros for Alexis Saelemaekers, and another 4 million euros for Daniel Maldini at Monza.
With this sum, the club aims to make a move for a centre-forward, which is already lacking today. The most followed names are Joshua Zirkzee and Viktor Gyokeres. The former is valued at a fee of at least 40 million euros, the latter has a clause of 100 million euros with Sporting Lisbon, but with margins to negotiate for less.
AC Milan is determined to move forward, led by Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Gyokeres, a Swede from Stockholm, cannot remain indifferent to Zlatan's interest. Another option to keep an eye on is also Benjamin Sesko, a young talent from Leipzig: twenty years old, with seven goals scored so far this season.
