Today's edition of Tuttosport headlines this morning about the future of AC Milan's goalkeeping position:
"If Maignan doesn't sign, Mamardashvili steps up."
The French goalkeeper's contract expires in 2026, and so far, there hasn't been an agreement reached for renewal with the Rossoneri. The club directors, however, are not willing to exceed their wage budget. If an extension isn't reached in the coming weeks, Maignan could be sold for a fee around 70 to 80 million euros.
Who could then take Milan's goalkeeping position? One profile that is highly favoured is Giorgi Mamardashvili, a 23-year-old goalkeeper from Valencia and the Georgian national team. His valuation is around 40 to 50 million euros. In Italy, there's also the name of Michele Di Gregorio from Monza who could be of interest to the Rossoneri.
