Olivier Giroud, today's goal scorer, spoke to DAZN after Milan's match against Lecce. Here are his statements:
Is this the best Milan of the season with the fifth consecutive victory in Serie A?
"Yes, I believe so. We aimed for this fifth victory in a row. We managed to score two goals early on, which was effective. We were aware that Lecce had been performing well, having not conceded a goal in two previous matches. Against Fiorentina, we created numerous opportunities and could have scored more goals. Today, we demonstrated our determination to be more clinical in front of goal."
How enjoyable is it to play alongside Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic, and Samuel Chukwueze?
"I have a good understanding with Loftus and Pulisic as we've played together before. However, I also connect well with others. Adli provided a great assist today, and I could have even scored another goal. I feel very comfortable, both mentally and physically, within the team. Now, we have important matches ahead of us, and we aim to stay focused on our objectives: securing second place and reaching at least the Europa League final."
Will you enjoy San Siro until June?
"I prefer not to discuss my future. I've seen what has been reported in the media, but nothing is finalised. Today, I am a Milan supporter with a deep affection for the club. I take great pride in representing this team. My aim is to finish the season strongly, and then we'll see what happens next year."
