Stefano Pioli still has one year left on his contract with Milan, but his departure at the end of the season is practically a done deal. However, the coach from Parma won't be without a bench for long: he's in pole position to take over from Francesco Calzona at Napoli.
This is reported by the Milan-based newspaper Il Giornale, which explains that there have already been positive contacts between the Neapolitan club and his agents.
For the current Rossoneri coach, a two-year contract worth three million euros net per year plus bonuses is ready. Pioli's adventure on the Milan bench will conclude after four and a half years, during which he has the merit of returning the club to the Champions League and winning the 19th Serie A title.
Milan News did, in fact, point out his current numbers leading the team: 237 matches, 131 wins, 55 draws, 51 losses, 428 goals scored, and 275 goals conceded.
